Tom Davis MP is the former unseen Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Labour Party who takes power in the Specials. He previously served as Chancellor of the Exchequer. He is a parody of Gordon Brown. After his party loses the 2010 election, Tom steps down and is succeeded by Nicola Murray

Background[edit | edit source]

Personal[edit | edit source]

He is married and has one son. He was not present at his son's birth, but was instead in an all night sitting of a communications bill reading, and received the news via text from his sister in law. Malcolm Tucker also mentions he barely spends time out the house with his family, and also walks "as if he has shit himself".

It is revealed in information leaked to the press by Jamie McDonald that he suffers from depression and has to take medication for it, experiencing intense burnouts otherwise.

Professional[edit | edit source]

Davis served as Chancellor of the Exchequer under the previous Prime Minister. The section of the party that supports his bid for leadership are called the "Nutters".

Series 1[edit | edit source]

It is mentioned in the very first episode that Tom is secretary of state for transport and that Malcolm considers his department to be significant.
